Trading with Pokémon Colosseum or XD: Gale of Darkness does not unlock the National Pokédex. In Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, the Pokédex is upgraded with the National Mode after the game trades with FireRed, LeafGreen or Emerald, whenever or not Ruby or Sapphire is receiving a Pokémon not in the Hoenn Dex. Generation III introduced the term "National Pokédex".
